Stuffed Dove

Ingredients
  • 3 whole doves, cleaned
  • 1 package thick cut bacon
  • 1 1/2 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 3 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 2 fresh jalapeno peppers, cut in half and seeded
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Toothpicks
Directions
  1. Mix all dry spices together.
  2. Stuff each dove with 1 ounce mozzarella, 1/2 ounce cream cheese and jalapeno. Sprinkle each stuffed dove with spice mixture. Wrap each dove with slices of bacon (use the toothpicks to hold the bacon in place).
  3. Set your smoker to 225 degrees and smoke with pecan or peach wood chips. After 1 1/2 hours, check doves for doneness.
