Yellow Tail Dawgz

Ingredients
- 6 hotdogs
- 1 750 ML Bottle Yellow Tail Merlot Wine
- 1 package sliced mushrooms
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 Pepperidge Farm whole wheat hoagie rolls
- 1 package shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
- Suggested Wood Chips: Pecan
Directions
- Put the pecan wood in the smoker (without the water pan) at 225 degrees
- Place the sliced mushrooms in a 9" X 2" round pan. Cut up 4 tablespoons of butter and place on top of the mushrooms in the pan. Pour 3/4 bottle of Yellow Tail Merlot into the pan. Place the pan in the smoker on the lowest rack. On the rack directly above the pan, place 6 franks (dawgz). Close the smoker and time for 45 minutes.
- Remove the franks (dawgs) and cut lengthwise. Place the franks in the pan with the mushrooms and Merlot mixture. Close the smoker and time for an additional 45 minutes.
- Brush the inside of the hoagies with a combination of 4 tablespoons melted butter and 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
- In a clean pan, place the franks in the hoagies, top with the smoked mushrooms and cover with shredded cheese. Place the pan in the smoker until the cheese has melted.
