Balsamic and Roasted Garlic Marinated Steak

Ingredients
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons chopped roasted garlic (from 4 ounce jar)
  • ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoon coarse ground pepper
  • 1 ½ pounds beef boneless top round steak, 1 to 1 ½ inches thick
Directions
  1. In shallow glass dish or resalable plastic food storage bag, mix all ingredients, except beef.
  2. Add beef; turn to coast.
  3. Cover dish or seal bag.
  4. Refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight, turning beef occasionally.
  5. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
  6. Remove beef from marinade; reserve marinade.
  7. Cover and grill beef over medium heat 12 to 18 minutes, turning and brushing with marinade once or twice, until desired doneness.
  8. Discard any remaining marinade.
  9. To serve, cut beef across grain into slices.
