Tonya's Green Beans with Chipotle Dipping Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup club soda
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 3 cups fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 1 gallon cooking oil Chipotle Dipping Sauce
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons canned chipotle peppers
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chipotle
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt to taste, baking powder and baking soda. Add club soda and olive oil, mixing well.
- Fill deep fryer halfway with oil and heat to 350°F.
- Chipotle Dipping Sauce: In a food processor, blend together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, chipotle peppers, garlic and chili powder until smooth.
- Dip green beans in batter mixture. Fry green beans for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Use a metal slotted spoon to transfer to paper towels to drain. Serve immediately with sauce.
