Cajun Fried Chicken

Ingredients
- 2 ½ - 3 pound fryer
- 5 ounces Butterball Buttery Creole Marinade
- Butterball Cajun Seasoning
Directions
- Heat oil to 375 degrees in your Butterball® Electric Fryer.
- Remove giblets from chicken; rinse with cold water and pat dry.
- Inject chicken using 1 ½ ounces of marinade per pound of meat.
- Sprinkle Cajun seasoning on the outside and on the inside cavity of the chicken.
- Dip the basket down into the oil before placing the chicken in it. This will give it a non-stick coating.
- Place chicken in the basket, and slowly lower the chicken into the hot oil.
- Deep fry for 3 minutes per lb., plus an additional 5 minutes.
- Make sure internal temp reaches 165 degrees. Remove basket and drain excess oil.
